The Priory of the Holy Trinity of North Carolina welcomed a new Companion-At-Arms to the Order, John Kovacs!
Kovacs, who was accepted into the Priory in October of 2025, was born in Newark, New Jersey, and lived most of his life in NYC. Moved to Fayetteville, NC, twelve years ago to continue with his career as a physical therapy assistant in the VA health care system. In total, he worked for the VA for over 30 years, retiring in 2023.
In addition to his degree in Physical therapy, he has a B.A./M.A. in forensic psychology from John Jay College in NYC. Since moving to Fayetteville, he has obtained the M.Div. degree in biblical studies from Regent University. He is currently completing his D.Min . degree in biblical studies from Liberty University.
A lifelong martial artist, he is ranked as Soke, the highest title attainable for a founder of his own martial art system. He has been inducted into numerous martial arts halls of fame.
He is a published author and has been on several podcasts and videos. He has taught internationally. A devout follower of the Risen King, his goal is to follow the Great Commandment and to win the hearts and minds of as many people as possible.
